Success comes through hard work, smart planning and self motivation. There is nothing called natural talent and God gift, until unless one discovers it, and through the hammer of hard work, smart planning and self motivation, gives it a proper shape.

There is no substitute for “Hard Work”. Achievement in life comes with hard work and experience, not my luck. According to the ‘Ten Year Rule”, It takes around a minimum of Ten years of hard work and experience to become an expert or a champion. No lunch is free; one has to earn for it.

Practice” makes one perfect. The great performers put no limits to practice, even if they have to practice on weekends.Practise is not just about repeating the same steps again and again; but, It is about tracking consistent feedback of results, in order to improve the performance.

The “learning ability” varies from person to person. Some learn the concepts quickly, and some takes a bit of more time to understand the same concept. But practice, hard work and strong determination brings the trophy of success in life.

Everyone must have a “Role Model”, who provides the source of inspiration, and a figure whom one may follow to achieve success in their respective fields. If one wants to be a scientist, then make a great Scientist of mankind one’s role model. If one wants to be a great athlete, then follow a great athlete of all times as a role model.

Build ‘Mental Plans and Strategies” in order to visualize how every elements are linked to each other , and what strategies should be applied in order to make all the elements work together in order to achieve success in life.

Achieve Success @ Love

Love is pure positive feeling for someone, who might be your friends, family members or other social elements. Under the influence of this positive feeling, a person tries to give as much happiness as possible to her/his love ones. This gift of happiness could be in the form of support, care, understanding, trust and giving the right guidance to your love ones. Love means to support your love ones to grow in prosperity, peace and true happiness.
The negative side of love is selfishness, in which the person wants to fulfill her/his own needs at the cost of suffering of others. The history has witnessed many such world villains who created so much suffering for others in order to fulfill their own greedy satisfaction. Every time there has been a WAR in the history, there has been a lots of suffering  for majority of the people, just only to fulfill the greedy and  negative needs of a couple of negative selfish people. The humanity has given them the title of world villains or villains of humanity.
On the other hand, the history has also witnessed the heroes of humanity, who decided to choose the path of “Devotion for Humanity”, in order to do something great for the whole humanity. Some of the famous names include, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and Nelson Mandela. These role models showed the whole world, the path of love and peace.
The true meaning of love is the path of caring, supporting and helping each other to develop in harmony and peace, without creating a suffering for others.
The day when everyone will understand this true concept of love, this whole world will become a heaven on Mother Earth.

Achieve Success @ SMART Goals

Make SMART Goals to achieve success.

S – Specific or Significant

• M – Measurable or Meaningful

• A - Attainable or Action-Oriented

• R - Relevant or Rewarding

• T - Time-bound or Traceable

To understand the SMART process of Goal setting, let us take an example of a sales person who wants to achieve success in generating more leads and sales.

The goal should be specific or significant; which means that the purpose of the goal should be clear. The sales person should be specific about how many sales she/he wants to make in a month. Let’s say, she/he wants to make 100 sales in a month.

The goal should be measurable or meaningful; which means that it should be meaningful. The sales person should analyze, how much measurable is this goal of achieving 100 sales in a month is? Does it make any sense, or will making 100 sales in month will bring further profit to the company? Or should she/he should try for more sales in a month?

The third important concept is, whether the goal setting is attainable or action oriented. The sales person should analyze that whether the sales goal of 100 sales per month is attainable in a month period of time. If not, then what other strategies she/he need in order to attain that goal within a month period of time?

How much relevant or rewarding is the goal. The sales person should analyze, whether the goal is relevant or rewarding. Will achieving this goal will fulfill the organizations purpose? What and how much would be the output or outcome by putting this goal into effect?

Finally, the goal should be time bound or traceable. The sales person should have a time management or schedule in order to complete the 100 sales within a period of one month. She/he should be tracking daily and weekly sales, in order to get an average of sales per day achieved; So that strategies could be built in order to complete the process in the given time frame.

SMART goals always helps in achieving success, whether in academics, business, or in any other dimensions of planning in life.

Achieve Success @ Teamwork, Not Group Work

What’s the basic difference between a team and a group? A Group is just a cluster of people who have formed a union to complete a task. A Team is also a cluster of people just like a group, but with a basic difference. The difference is about the sharing and understanding of a common goal by each of the members forming within that union called team, and working together to achieve the ultimate target.

Take an example of a basketball team. All the players have formed a union to achieve a common goal or objective of winning the match against their opposite team. This common aim binds each of the team members together to perform a common task together. This is an integral part of a team work.
To work towards achieving that goal, each of the team members should know their role and responsibilities. Like the players among themselves should know , that who is going to check which of the opponent player during the match; or which player should be given the maximum pass as she/he is a good shooter.

Communication or interaction plays the next vital role among the team members. The flow of communication should be well synchronized among the team members. Each member of the team should know what the other team member wants to say. Now in a game of basketball, the motion of the whole match is so fast, that if the communication among the players lacks weakness then they may easily loose the match. If one player doesn’t understand the body or sign language of the other team player, then the opponent team players may take this advantage and shift the winning score towards their side.

Trust is that chain, which binds all the team members together. Suppose one team member has a doubt for the other team member, then this mistrust can be quite fatal for the whole team. If player A mistrust about the efficiency of player B in a team, and don’t pass the ball in time, then the whole sequence of passing the ball and taking it near the goal to shoot may fail. As a result the team may lose a winning score. Each team members should know and trust each other’s skills and talents, in order to achieve their ultimate goal.

Despite of all the above positive factors like, working for the common goal or objective, knowing one’s role and responsibilities, good communication among team members, and trust; many times a conflict happens among the team members. In this situation the role of an effective Leader comes in. Team leader is that team member , who has all the above mentioned skills better than her/his team members, and knows how to synchronize the whole team together to make it work together in achieving the common goal of the team. The team Leader understands the skills of each of the team members and treats everyone equally. Suppose say, If a conflict occurs among the basketball players of a team during the match, then the efficient team captain would discover the issue of the conflict and solve it diligently, by giving the right direction to her/his team members; so that the team can again perform efficiently to achieve the ultimate goal, which is winning the match.

All these above mentioned factors are not a part of a group work. That’s why working as a team is more effective as compare to working as a group.

Achieve Success @ SWOT Analysis

I want to be rich. I want to be famous. I want to have lots of friends and fans. The wish list goes a never ending long way. The vital question that one should ask to themselves is, how am I going to achieve that success? Success does not come overnight. Until of course one has a wonderful luck, who may win a jackpot overnight?
The effective and historic strategy which has helped a lot of people in achieving their success is through the help of “SWOT Analysis”.
In a goal setting method, SWOT Analysis plays a key role. SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Let’s take an example of a student who wants to score A grade in the calculus course. The first thing the student should do is to access her/his strengths about the course. Might be her/his strength is that she/he is good in solving basic level questions. On the other hand, her/his weakness  is in solving the intermediate or higher level questions. Now the threats may be in many forms; like, she/he may fail the calculus course, and may loose respect among her/his social circle. Instead of being pessimist, she/he should be optimistic in solving the threat or problem by seeking opportunity. The opportunity for her/him  might be in the form of taking help from some one who may help her/him in understanding the concepts of solving the intermediate or higher level courses. The opportunity could be in the form of tutor, professor, teacher, or a friend; who know the concepts better and may assist her/him in understanding the course.
SWOT analysis helps in discovering one’s strengths and weaknesses which are internal factors. These factors can be controlled by one to achieve success. On the other hand, Threats and opportunities are the external factors which are analyzed and solve through external help or support.
SWOT Analysis has helped lots of companies and people in getting success.

What Success Means To You ?

Success has different meanings to different people in their life. the success may be in the form of material wealth, inner peace, successful relationship , or achieving an aim. What ever the reason may be, the success in simple definition means, achieving something which one has aimed for. Now this choice of aim could be positive or negative. Now this depends on person to person, about what kind of choices they make.

The fundamental question they should ask to themselves while making an aim is:
  • The aim which I am making is only going to help me or its going to help the whole society on a long term basis ?
  • Will others be also happy with my achievement ?
  • Or, will this decision is going to fulfill my own self interest only?
These vital questions might help one to take better decisions and make better aims in life.
